While conceptualizing the Resort ’21 collection, Co-creative Directors Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia reflected on how to adapt MONSE’s usual deconstructed tailoring to our new work from home routines. What came to fruition are reworked denim pieces accompanied by cozy knits with playful necklines to keep the MONSE woman perpetually Zoom-ready. Jacket silhouettes are more relaxed and can be effortlessly paired back to lounge-friendly jersey leggings. The injection of olive paillettes in the final looks simply exist to give our everyday lives a bit more sparkle. Overall, the collection embodies a casual sensibility while delivering distinct MONSE-ism’s for a cool, comfortable, yet elevated wardrobe.
