PRE-FALL 2021 is inspired by the reshaped lifestyle’s of MONSE designers, Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia. From the serendipitous walks through the streets of New York City to their love for cooking and design, they have collected some of the nuances of everyday life that brings them joy and injected them into this season’s primary graphic, NYC Scrapbook Print. It’s a collage of whimsical MONSE characters, dogs, food, and city illustrations found on a pleated slip dress, skirt, as well as a pajama set. Silhouettes are identifiably MONSE with a sense of ease. Mixing cozy knits with unexpected cut outs, or deconstructing suiting to be worn casually, provides a simplified perspective that best accompanies our new normal.
