ABOUT THE SHOW
The MONSE Spring 2023 Runway Show is an ode to the natural and rare beauty of New York City botanicals. With the generous support of American Express Platinum and Genesis Motor America, MONSE hosted the event in partnership with City Harvest, New York City’s first and largest food rescue organization, the event doubled as a fundraiser for the non-profit as gross proceeds from ticket sales were donated to the organization.
Serving as the idyllic backdrop for the occasion was the historic Battery Park whose garden sanctuary known as The Bosque set the tone on a beautiful September day to kick off New York Fashion Week.
ABOUT THE COLLECTION
The Spring 2023 Collection injects an ethereal air to an array of androgynous yet refined silhouettes. Creative Directors Laura Kin and Fernando Garcia play around with the delicacy of natural elements and created the season’s floral and camo prints using it to ground the collection in the form of pleated skirts, cropped knits, breezy shirting, and deconstructed tailoring. Adding a layer of dimension to the collection are the voluminous crinoline skirts, asymmetrical hemlines, and intricate lacing that help balance the fine line of ease and comfort with drama and emotion.
