SPRING SUMMER 2019

The fact that Monse's women's pieces have been largely inspired by menswear, it was only a natural progression to introduce some unisex pieces to the line. In Spring Summer 2019, Monse fans can expect to see a dozen or so unisex styles, zeroing in on cool jackets, t-shirts, and knits that both Monse girls and Monse boys can enjoy. With an overall nautical theme, there were plenty of chain and rope prints and silhouettes of sails, with a color palette consisting of white and navy. The presentation included everything from simple knits to asymmetrical jackets, blazers and dresses.

SPRING SUMMER 2019

"Monse's signatures styles - unbuttoned, asymmetrical shirting and loose knits - lend themselves quite easily to people of all genders, and the Spring 2019 collection is packed full of those pieces." (Fashionista) Fernando Garcia and Kim added a nautical theme, complete with preppy plaids and tons of stripes to add to the overall navy, and sometimes green, color palette. And what fashion show isn't complete with a song written by Monse fan, Nicki Minaj?

UNISEX FOR #MONSEBOYS

It's not just nautical that comes to mind for Spring Summer 2019. Also included are twisted tweeds, off-the-shoulder tops and dresses, wide leg cargo pants, and scarf dresses, all inspired by a "raid on your rich grandmother's closet." Fernando Garcia and Laura Kim applied their signature diagonal cuts, reworked shirting and deconstruction to suiting, polos, knits, and denim.
