SPRING SUMMER 2018

One of the highlights from Spring 2018 was the collaboration with Minnie Mouse, who was clad head-to-toe in Monse attire for the show. For Fashion Week, Minnie arrived in New York City, concluding her city tour with a starring appearance at the runway show. Arm-in-arm with Kate Bosworth, Jhené Aiko, Paris and Nicky Hilton, and Nicki Minaj, this enviable girl posse graced the crowd's front row. It wasn't a random pairing though - "Minnie's traditional look is representative of some of the best trends of 2017: Jacquemus-esque polka-dots, bright red tones, and ruffled collars." ~ Refinery29

SPRING SUMMER 2018

After a joint show with Oscar de la Renta, Monse was back on the runway showcasing their Spring Summer 2018 collection. Pushing boundaries and leading the conversation, this show was no different. Inspired by collegiate wear and sports uniforms, the broad theme was back-to-school, and Garcia and Kim gave those classic items a "Monse twist." Equally as exciting and surprisingly delightful were the sweaters and sparkly basketball jerseys with Monse written across the chest. "Garcia and Kim's style of polished deconstruction translated to an attitude of allure that's confident but fun," stated WWD.

M IS FOR... MONSE:
AMERICANA AND ATHLETICISM

Fernando Garcia and Laura dabbled in Americana and athleticism, without abandoning their deconstructed success. They approached this season's theme from a more literal standpoint than what many may be used to seeing, consisting of preppy cardigan, track pants, and sparkly basketball jerseys, with a color palette of mostly red, white and blue.
