COLLECTIONS
PRE-FALL 2018
Toeing the line between bold and practical, the Pre-Fall 2018 collection did just that. Sequined houndstooth skirts, satin slips, slit dresses, and slash-styled pieces made up the evening-geared looks. The inspiration for some of the collection came from the fact that Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia wanted to re-explore some of their ideas from Spring 2016, the house's first collection. It honed in on many of Monse's signatures - deconstructed skirts, hybrid dresses and asymmetrical tailoring added a definitive feminine touch while also keeping that "Monse edge."

PRE-FALL 2018
Featuring Swedish model and actress, Erika Linder, Monse's Pre-Fall 2018 collection was kept vibrant and cheerful, with statement pieces and a fun presentation. Designers Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia took their ready-to-wear pieces to the grocery store. The collection is full of intricate details, such as asymmetric hems, unexpected ruffles and an energetic color level, taking the mismatched obsession to the next level. Its mismatched pieces include split-jeans - all fun, yet perfectly wearable. The gown-like tops and loose off-the-shoulder sweaters spiced it up even more with vibrant color-blocking effects.

DECONSTRUCTED SIGNATURES
"Some of the standout pieces were a form-fitting asymmetric buffalo check dress and long, languid silk pajama top/dress hybrids in rich jewel colors worn over pants. Garcia and Kim also got in on the current logo obsession in a gentle way." ~ WWD
