FALL WINTER 2016

Last Spring, Fernando Garcia and Laura Kim debuted their first Monse collection with considerable praise. With immediate attention from Net-A-Porter and celebrity clientele like Amal Clooney and Sarah Jessica Parker, they're back again, but with a more youthful, experimental direction. With inspiration from vintage men's suiting, they applied those components to easy-to-wear pieces like asymmetrical dresses, oversized button-downs, and bubble skirts. Their shirting-inspired looks were elegant, yet familiar. With tones that were recognized from their first successful season.

FALL WINTER 2016

Fernando Garcia and Laura Kim unveiled their fall 2016 collection at the Highline Hotel to buyers and press, showcasing more shirts with an obvious sense of ease, as it had been one of the memorable highlights from their first collection. Playing with undone shirting, they kept with suiting-inspired looks, but added greater diversity with textures. This collection also earned them a nomination for the Swarovski Award for Womenswear at the CFDA Awards. With a relaxed, but glamorous aesthetic, the crossover between red carpet and ready-to-wear is looking incredibly strong.
